Walks
and Picnics...
There are wonderful
walks and places for picnicing in the natural park of Sao Mamede.
Many of the trails are ancient ways which have been paved.
Nobody knows how
old theese trails are, but they certainly go back to medieval times.
Some say they
are Roman in origin.
Today they provide
walkers with wonderful opportunities for enjoying this magnificient
countryside. In the house in Rua Relogio you will find literature
and detailed maps for walkers. Please use them and do not forget to
leave them in the house, so our nexts guests may also use them. Thank
